Lecturers of the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport), under the aegis of the Academic Staff Union(ASUU), have protested the half-salary payment by the Federal Government.

The lecturers were seen in their numbers marching along Delta Campus, heading to the school senate building in Abuja Campus, carrying placards.

Some of the inscriptions on the placards reads, “No to Pro Rata Salary Payment, lecturers are not casual workers”; “FG, stop Maltreatment lecturers”.
