Zamfara Government has said that repentant bandits have surrendered 203 sophisticated firearm, under the state government peace accord.x The Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Garba Dauran, made this known to newsmen in Gusau. University of Abuja female students have lamented the harassment and invasion of their privacy by security men monitoring the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) camera in their hostels. Bandits killed the village head of Magira in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Malam Umaru Sanda, in the early hours of Tuesday. Daily Trust reported that the assailants attacked the village around 12:30 am. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Bonga Production Sharing Contract (PSC) partners, have signed watershed agreements to unlock $700m (about N320bn) revenue to the federation. The revenue is expected to be generated by way of gas revenue and lease renewal fees, adding that the pact would also unlock about two billion barrels of oil for Nigeria under the Oil Mining Lease 118.
