The leadership of Igede Progressive Youth Association of Benue State has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the reappointment of their illustrious son, Dr. Vincent Ikape Isegbe as the Director General/Comptroller General of Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), for a second term in office.

Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja, the leader of the Association, Engr. Ben Obega described Dr. Isegbe, as a detribalised Nigerian whose hardwork, dedication, and commitment to public assignment earned him the reappointment to the prestigious office, he assured President Tinubu of Dr. Isegbe loyalty to his renewed hope agenda for the country.

Engr. Obega posited that Dr. Isegbe had proved his mettle at Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) under his leadership as poineer CG, NAQS was ranked amongst the top three agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the efficiency and transparency index by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), adding that Dr. Vincent Isegbe would give his best efforts in his second term in office especially at this critical moment of our nation where agricultural input is the most significant parameters towards liberating the people of our country from the seemingly food security challenges across the nation.

The group, while imploring Mr. President to give all the needed support to Dr. Isegbe and the Quarantine Service to continue to empower youths around the country stated that they are not unaware of the numerous local and international trainings that Dr. Isegbe has facilitated for young people within and outside NAQS and that he needs to be encouraged to do more in line with the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President, which also focuses on capacity building and job creation for the Nigerian youth population.

Expressing their joy over the reappointment, the entire Igede youths, therefore, pledged to stand by President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in his quest towards making Nigeria a more prosperous and peaceful nation, even as the youths charged Dr. Isegbe to continue with his good works in order to make more positive impact on the people of our beloved country, Nigeria.

The Igede Progressive Youth Association prayed God Almighty to continue to protect and bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for always choosing merit ahead of tribal and religious considerations in making appointments into public offices.
