The leading hotel in Nigeria, Transcorp Hilton Abuja today held its annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the hotel lobby, as a way to show appreciation to its valued guests.

The event was attended by friends and associates of the hotel, and aimed to spread the festive spirit and promote the hospitality that Transcorp Hilton is renowned for.

Speaking at the event, Dupe Olusola, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Hilton, expressed her excitement about the celebration.

She emphasized that the event is held every year to thank their guests and provide them with an opportunity to enter the Christmas season with Transcorp Hilton and experience the true meaning of hospitality.

Olusola further explained that the Christmas season is a time for giving thanks, celebrating and expressing appreciation for the past year. She encouraged everyone to be part of Transcorp Hilton’s family.

During the event, complimentary drinks were served to guests in the lobby. Families were also welcomed to enjoy the hospitality and culinary offerings from all outlets of the hotel.

When asked about Transcorp Hilton’s involvement with the less privileged in society, Olusola mentioned that the management actively participates in giving back to the community, particularly through a program in partnership with the United Nations (UN) that focuses on mentoring the girl child in various skills.

This initiative demonstrates Transcorp Hilton’s commitment to empowering the less privileged and supporting gender equality.

Bulent Tarlan, the Transcorp General Manager, discussed the hotel’s plans for women’s empowerment. He revealed that the hotel is conducting a program that will provide six women with the necessary skills to start their own businesses over a six-month period, enabling them to become self-reliant.

Throughout the program, the participants will receive support in the form of food, transportation, and a conducive working environment. Tarlan emphasized that this initiative is not limited to the Christmas season but will continue throughout the year.

In addition to these initiatives, Transcorp Hilton has set its sights on opening an event center with a capacity of approximately 3000 people by 2024. This center will enable the hotel to host various activities and expand its offerings to cater to a larger audience.

Overall, Transcorp Hilton’s Christmas celebrations and initiatives reflect its dedication to providing excellent hospitality, supporting the less privileged, and empowering women. With the upcoming plans for an event center, Transcorp Hilton is poised to offer even more opportunities for guests to experience the luxury and exceptional service the hotel is known for.
