Book Launch in Honour of Gov. AbdulRazaq, Thursday

A book showcasing the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State would be launched on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

The book titled: “Symbol of Change” is written by Abiodun Abdulkareem and Bola Ipinlaiye, who are experts in print and broadcast journalism respectively.

The public presentation of the book, according to a statement signed by the Chairman, Organising Committee, Omo’ba ‘Yemi Adurotoye, would come up at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Ilorin.

The book, the statement reads, chronicles the track records of governance and notable achievements of the governor since assumption of office.

It added that the book is specifically dedicated to the transformational strides of present administration in Kwara State and captured the impression of the people about government’s performances in close to four years.

The statement pointed out that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is the Distinguished Special Guest of Honour at the event while the Lion King and the Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba(Pharm) Ajibola Ademola Julius would chair the occasion while the Chairman, Federal Character Commission, Hajiya Farida Dankaka, would be Chairperson.

The Turaki of Ilorin, who is also the APC senatorial candidate for Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha would be keynote speaker and the chief launcher.

The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prince Sunday Fagbemi and the First Lady of Kwara State, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufolake AbdulRazaq would be Father of the day and Mother of the day respectively.

The statement added that the Special Adviser to the Governor on Strategy, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, would be the second keynote speaker, while the Distinguished Guest of Honour and lead launchers would be Sen. Lola Ashiru, Sen. Suleiman Sadiq Umar, Hon. Raheem Tunji Olawuyi, Hon. (Otunba) Tajudeen Abioye, Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki and Mallam Muktar Tolani Shagaya.

The Special Guest of Honours are the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi; the Director General, Micheal Imodu National Institute of Labour Studies (MINILS ), Comrade Issa Aremu and the Chief Executive Officer, KAM Holdings, Dr. Kamorudeen Yusuf.

The book reviewer would be Dr. Lambe Mustapha of the
University of Ilorin and the Chief Host is the state Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju.

The Distinguished Host, according to the statement, is the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaiye, while the co-hosts are the Director General, Kwara Signage and Advertisements Agency (KWASAA), Olorunshola Omotayo, Radio Kwara’s General Manager, Kayode Aremu and the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Kwara Council, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed.
