Police in Kwara State has said 10 persons belonging to the same family have died after drinking herbal concoction in Biogberu village in the state.

The State’s police spokesman Okasanmi Ajayi said two men allegedly approached one of the family members who had a foot infection and offered the herbal concoction to her as a cure.

The men asked the woman to give the concoction to all her family members to prevent the spread of the foot disease among them.x

He noted that the two suspects have been arrested and investigations are underway.

Ajayi also noted that it’s not yet clear whether the suspects are known traditional healers in the remote community.
