Dr. Oramah were the immediate past President of the Club, Barr. Obiananma Anne Onwukeme; incoming President Rotarian Marcel Ezenwa; Rotarian Comrade James Ezema; and other club members.

As part of activities leading to his formal investiture, the incoming President of the Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire, Dr. Pat Ifeanyi Oramah, paid a courtesy visit to former Inspector-General of Police, Sir (Dr) Mike Mbama Okiro, CFR, at his Abuja residence.

The visit was part of Dr. Oramah’s engagement efforts ahead of his installation as the 8th President of the Club, an event to be chaired by the retired IGP himself.

Accompanying Dr. Oramah were the immediate past President of the Club, Barr. Obiananma Anne Onwukeme; incoming President Rotarian Marcel Ezenwa; Rotarian Comrade James Ezema; and other club members.

During the visit, Dr. Oramah extended a warm invitation to the former police chief and other esteemed guests to attend the forthcoming Investiture Ceremony. He emphasized Rotary’s enduring values of service, peacebuilding, and collective action for societal development.

He also used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to expanding the Club’s humanitarian outreach and strengthening its impact through strategic collaborations. Dr. Oramah appealed for continued support from leaders like Dr. Okiro in advancing Rotary’s mission.

In response, Sir Mike Okiro applauded the Club’s contributions to public service and pledged his support for its ongoing initiatives. He encouraged wider participation from well-meaning Nigerians in Rotary’s community-driven programs.

The Investiture Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Barcelona Hotel, Wuse 2, Abuja.

Highlights of the evening will include an Awards Night, Fundraising Dinner, and formal leadership handover. With the theme “Unite for Good,” the event will bring together philanthropists, professionals, and civic leaders in celebration of a renewed commitment to humanitarian service.
