A Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyor, FNIQS who doubles as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, GMD/CEO of Afribased Projects Ltd and principal partner of Bella Terra Consults, a Quantity surveying firm, Alhaji Mustapha Tasiu Balogun, FNIQS has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Malam AbdulRahman Aliagan on his election as the new President of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ).

In a statement he personally signed, Monday, Alhaji Tasiu commended Aliagan’s victory, describing it as a testament to his unwavering commitment to journalism and his reputation for upholding the highest standards of investigative reporting.

According to him, “Aliagan’s election as the new President of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists is a well-deserved honour,” said Alhaji Tasiu.

“His leadership and dedication to the profession will undoubtedly propel the Guild to new heights, and I am confident that under his stewardship, the NGIJ will continue to make significant contributions to the media landscape in Nigeria and across the African continent.”

Tasiu, a celebrated Quantity Surveyor further expressed his confidence in Aliagan’s ability to forge new partnerships, strengthen ties with national and international organizations, and elevate the Guild to unprecedented levels.

“Malam Aliagan’s vision for the NGIJ, which includes promoting democracy, fostering good governance, and driving development, is truly inspiring,”

Alhaji Tasiu said. “I am excited to witness the positive impact he will make in his role as the President if the Guild and I wish him and the newly elected executive team all the best in their endeavors.”

He also commended the NGIJ for its commitment to democratic processes and good governance, as evidenced by the transparent and inclusive election process that resulted in Aliagan’s victory.

“The NGIJ’s dedication to upholding democratic principles is commendable, and I am confident that Malam Aliagan’s leadership will further solidify the Guild’s position as a beacon of professionalism and integrity in the journalism profession,” he said.

Tasiu extended his heartiest congratulations to Aliagan and the entire NGIJ team, wishing them success in their mission to promote democracy, foster good governance, and drive development in Nigeria and across Africa.
