The Wife of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the February 2023 election, Princess Rukayya, has told Nigerians that her husband is more committed to fixing the country than all other presidential candidates.

Princess Rukayya, who spoke at a PDP Women Summit in Lafia called on all Nigerians to massively vote for her husband.

According to her, Nigeria can still be great with the right person at the helm of affairs, despite the challenges it is currently facing

“Let me begin by saying thank you to everyone here for taking out the time to make the journey here. The fact that you are all here shows that you are committed to making our country great again.

“You are here because you all believe in what this country can be. In the face of war, you believe there can be peace. In the face of despair, you believe there can be hope. In the face of a politics that has repeatedly disappointed you, that has divided us for too long, you believe we can be one people. Let me tell you why I’m here today.

“I have been privileged to have the front-row seat in the life of the man that you all fondly call Atiku Abubakar and I call my husband, and I can tell you without a doubt that I am yet to meet a more committed person or a better candidate. He has shown determination throughout his political career.

“He contested four times for the seat of the governor of former Gongola state now Adamawa and has contested in the past to be the President of our dear country. This only tells you that he is not a man afraid of failing. He is not a man consumed by fear.

He is a man driven by passion and the desire to give back to society. So I ask you, should we not support this man that is committed to making a better life for all of us? From me to you, I can promise you that should we get Atiku Abubakar in the presidential seat, we will ensure that our children get the proper education they deserve.

“The girl-child education is a priority for us. We will ensure to empower our women and children and keep the country safe. Our administration will provide job opportunities for our youths and get rid of poverty once and for all. We need your support and your votes to make these happen. So I implore you, do not listen to their lies. They have lied to us for 8 years and allowed us to suffer. Secure your children’s future by voting for PDP in the coming elections and let’s make our country great again”, she said.
