The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has confiscated and destroyed Tramadol worth about N2 trillion and substandard medicines valued at over N4 billion in the last four years.

Also, over N5 billion worth of falsified drugs, unwholesome food products and cosmetics were seized and incinerated nationwide by the agency between March and August this year.

NAFDAC’s Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, made the disclosure yesterday in Abuja at a press conference to mark her four years in office.
