Nigerians have been urged to intensify prayers and as well imbibe the lessons of Eid – el – Kabir to address the myraids of issues confronting the nation.

The Grand Patron, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu gave the advice in his Sallah message through a telephone conversation.

Alhaji Audu who is the son of First & Second civilian Executive Governor of Kogi State, Late Prince Abubakar Audu said the country needs to revert back to the ideals and philosophy of the nationalists who made huge sacrifice for freedom and unity of the nation.

He urged religious leaders, traditional leaders and politicians to concentrate on issues that will promote peace, brotherliness and as well embark on strategic approach towards solving issues of inflation, insecurity, unemployment and youths restiveness.

Alhaji Audu congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Yahaya Bello and his cabinet members as well as the traditional rulers on the occasion and urged them not to relent in their efforts to sustain the existing peace in the State.

His words ” first and foremost, I thank Almighty Allah for granting the privilege to withness another celebration of Eid – el – Kabir. It is a season of sacrifice and it is a big lesson to learn from both Muslems and even non Muslems. Both leaders and the led must learn to live a sacrificial life. Allah in his infinite mercies bestows his blessings to mankind irrespective of our status. We all have blessings of rain, sunlight, even the breath that sustains us. Nigerians must learn from that. We must ignite our passion towards peace and harmony. Religious leaders must continue to intensify prayers towards peace, they must continue to preach love in a time like this. No good leader would unleash mayhem on his people, majority that are good must unite against forces of hostility, segregation and oppression. It is the duty of patriotic citizens to support the government of the day to succeed. We must all be patriotic. I wish President Muhammadu Buhari, the members of the Executive Council, and at the state level, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello and his cabinet members, traditional institutions and citizens of Kogi State a happy celebration. It is my prayers that the nation would overcome its current challenges.”

He appealed to Muslems to use the occasion to showcase love to one another as well as their neighbors emphasising that Allah who tested Prophet Ibrahim also provided a solution in lieu of his son whom he had prepared to sacrifice in obidience to his Creator.
